TIMERGARAH: At least three people including two policemen were killed by armed men in Rabat area of Lower Dir district on Monday. According to police, unidentified gunmen ambushed the vehicle of Counsellor Sohail Khan, brother of Jumaat-e-Islami’s local leader Shad Nawaz Khan in the jurisdiction of Khal Police Station and killed him. Police intervened to safe the counsellor, but the gunmen also attacked them. As a result, constable Wahab and Zubair were gunned down. However, the killers escaped from the scene. The reason behind the killing of Sohail was stated to be an old enmity. Police registered a case and started investigation.
